STRAP Table viser en alternativ og eksperimenterende måde at lave en minimalkonstruktion på samt at udnytte standardmaterialer og minimere bearbejdningen af dem. Gennem en eksperimentrække har jeg undersøgt de statiske principper tryk og træk, og hvordan man med snor og plade i et fastspændt system kan opnå styrke og stabilitet. Traditionelt arbejder man med sarg og sprosser samt tilførsel af godstykkelse til et emne. Eksperimentet i dette møbel ligger i at undgå denne materialeforøgelse ved hjælp af alternativ møbelstatik. (STRAP Table shows an alternative and experimental way of creating a minimal construction while using standard materials and minimizing their processing. Through a sequence of experiments, I have examined the static principles of compression and tension and how to achieve strength and stability using string and board in a fixated system. The traditional approach is to use rails and stretchers and to make some of the components bulkier. The experimental aspect of this furniture lies in avoiding this additional use of materials by applying alternative furniture statics.)
