(With inspiration from Kaare Klint’s design principles, which celebrate functionality and honest materials, this project challenges the traditional glued wooden chair by departing from traditional production methods. The chair is based on a rule of using only recycled wood. In uniformly shaped pieces measuring 30 × 40mm, the wooden elements are used as building blocks and form the basis of the chair’s construction. The elements are assembled using threaded rods and bushings, producing a ‘Frankenstein chair’, pieced together of recycled materials.)
